AETHER is a sculptural design vase composed of three interconnected cylinders through which water flows freely from one vessel to the other. The continuous movement of water creates a subtle visual rhythm, inviting observation and bringing a calm, almost meditative quality to the space.

The high-quality borosilicate glass combines clarity with durability, while the interplay of light, water and glass creates constantly shifting reflections and optical effects. Each cylinder can also be filled individually, allowing the vase to be used with or without flowers and offering different ways of experiencing its distinctive construction.

Developed by designer Christian Metzner over more than a year in close collaboration with an experienced glass manufactory in the Czech Republic, AETHER requires exceptional precision and specialised craftsmanship. The interconnected components must be assembled within a short window while the glass is still hot, requiring a highly skilled team and a specially developed production process.

Presented as a limited edition, AETHER transforms the traditional vase into a captivating sculptural study of water, light and glass.
