MONO–A is a study in timeless design and functional elegance. Created by designer Peter Raacke in 1959, MONO–A laid the foundation for the MONO flatware collection, balancing form and function with enduring relevance.
Celebrated for its radical simplicity, MONO–A was initially ahead of its time, but later received the Federal Prize for Good Form in 1973 and has since become a German design classic, winning numerous awards and maintaining a lasting presence in contemporary dining.
The flatware sets include a table fork, table knife, table spoon, teaspoon. A dessert fork and espresso spoon can be purchased additionally. Each piece is meticulously crafted from premium 18/10 stainless steel with a refined matte brushed finish. The knife features a hardened steel blade for superior durability, ensuring both long-lasting performance and an elevated dining experience.
The MONO–A table knife is available in two versions. The short blade is the original knife design by Peter Raacke. The long blade was added later as an alternative. Both variants are equally functional, the choice is based on your very personal preference. Designed for everyday use, each piece embodies an understated yet sophisticated aesthetic.
